I wish arch was really as customizable as it claims to be
Maybe next time I get the urge to use arch I should just hard left into gentoo territory

@scarly I've been a bit wary of trying gentoo....mainly because I don't want to compile *everything* but I can also see how that gives you a bunch more options
I view Arch in general terms as "gentoo, but pre-compiled"
