you don't want to read my poetry, it's disjointed, follows no style whatsoever, and typically makes no sense

all those english courses were wasted on me

@scarly @DragonessDella Yeah, that's the perfect poetry though. It's not about being proper English, it's not about technique, it's about baring your soul in all its raw painfulness and glory, and making readers *feel*. There's this poetry I read once written by some 4th graders, I'll have to dig it up... it's the best poetry I've ever read.

(Writing about a family member's recent death)
"My brother went down to the river and put dirt on."
"Peace be a song, silver pool of sadness"
"Away went a dull winter wind / that rocked harshly, and bent you said, / 'Father, father'".

(Writing about life as a movie)
"I, the star god, / take bones from the / underworlds of past times / to create mankind."
