@ctrlaltchaos@aleph.land frequently when someone says they are colorblind within the context of a discussion of institutional oppression, they are in fact using it to silence discussion of racism on the basis of "let's not have this discussion because i do not see color"
this is more insidious than racism denial; since it actively suppresses discussion when it is used by people in positions of power
it is also problematic because it is often used to minimize the effects of someone's implicit biases
