think it's rly weird when fic writers mix english and japanese names in a single fic?
tho i mean. sometimes english names r bad so i guess i can kinda understand why if it's like. mostly english names but here's one or two names from the japanese version
(also i'm using english and japanese bc i usually see this in video games and anime/manga fandoms)
@pawnshopheart it's weird at times but also nintendo treehouse deserves to suffer for "localizing" tsubaki into subaki as well as for changing kazahana's name but leaving in the dialogue that references that name's meaning so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@pawnshopheart the only real excuse i can think of is how leon is also the name of a character in fe echoes but tbh if you're reading something explicitly mentioned to be fe fates then it really shouldn't matter beyond tagging
@shagoli well i mean. echoes leon is leo in japanese so i think that's a flimsy excuse at best
@shagoli that's true. tho tbh what sparked this line of thought was a ficlet i saw that was using the names leo and zero like you coward. what's preventing you from saying leon.
