I honestly don't understand how a Code of Conduct is ever a bad thing.
It tells you what kind of behavior people expect, in nice plain words. Instead of having to like, guess. There is literally no downside! It's not even legally binding!

@squirrel People who are being assholes against social expectations will be assholes against a non-binding code of conduct as well.
