so what would be a good procedure for purging old inactive accounts?

thought about 0 posts, older than 30 days
also no remote followers

and then what, suspend and lock the handle down or completely delete locally so it can be recreated later?

computer fairies currently marks itself as having around 200 users, which is very inaccurate to how many actually active users we have and i'd like to change that

@squirrel i've been considering changing the "active users" flag to count only users who've had activities in the last week

@squirrel er, i said that wrong

to change the "total accounts" into an "active users" measure

@vahnj i'd really like that, but it's also a matter of having defunct data on the system

@vahnj @squirrel That's pretty much the best solution.

Deleting accounts is always super-thorny because then someone else can register a new account with the same username.

OTOH, deleting those accounts' old toots and letting the PubSub subscriptions expire is probably OK, if you are concerned about the ressources used.

@squirrel I'd do a suspend after 30 days, complete deletion after 60 if they don't come to you and say "Hey, I was going to use that"

Assuming the user management'll work like that
