i like being referred to as maple daily more than svetlana
but i like still keeping svetlana tovarisch as my music persona
and separating them is kinda hard as everything blends in together in my head but i try to make some sense of it
and i think i also want to start maple's music persona as something more playful than serious 80s/vgm stuff, more like jean-jacques perrey

@squirrel unasked-for two cents: it kinda sounds like you're using svetlana as almost like a stage name or like... how some authors will use a pen name for when they write in a particular genre because those books have such a different tone from their other stuff?

@InspectorCaracal yeah kinda. i think the problem is i really only have one tone of music (unless you break out vgm against the rest which are more 80s and slightly less videogamey) so far and i want to branch out more but it's hard to come up with anything different to break the mold ??

@squirrel Yeah, that's why I was thinking maybe like a stage name, too! Like, it's not a secret-identity thing, but it's a specific name for the persona when you're performing (or in this case composing music). It sounds like some kind of intersection of the two ideas.
