@revenant @tom bizhawk (which is multi-system and has other emulators along with ps1) is also a good bet

@squirrel @Tom iirc mednafen is also good for ps1 stuff too but i haven't really tried any multi-system emulators before

there's also no$psx which i used a bit for some hacking stuff but it might be a little flaky sometimes

@revenant @squirrel the only multiplatform emulator i use is openemu. it's nice but macOS only :/

@squirrel @revenant also it doesn't support any upscaling options whatsoever, it runs the games as faithfully to the original as possible
