With the release of watchOS 5 the first version of the apple watch (including the $17,000 gold editions of it) is officially obsolete
They'll still function as is but they won't receive any updates and may not work with new phones
To all those people who spent $17,000 on a watch that's now obsolete rather than on a non-smart watch that'll last damn near forever, sucks to be you
Oh, also if you look at your smart watch while driving that counts under the same laws as using your phone while driving
