So breadboarding with the cheapest chips you can find is a thing you could do if so inclined

@Jo yep, schematics like that are what they give you if you order stuff from the ikea in hell

@Jo I'd be more inclined to go for something like Grant Searle's 8/9 chip Z80 CPM machine on a breadboard

at least with that the schematic only takes up one page
