@noelle @troodon that is, I went to look up the root for thaumaturgy because I felt like the t was added as a joiner but couldn't remember and it is, which would make me think there should be a joiner in necro and urgy too but I'm not sure if it should be a t like thauma or if since it's got an o at the end it should be something else

also isn't necro latin instead of greek and thauma and -urgy are greek?

@noelle @troodon hmmm no, necropolis is a thing so it's perfectly fine to use with greek

but -polis starts with a consonant so that doesn't help with the joiner issue

@noelle @troodon i'm having vague memories of the s->t sound change in latin which I feel might be relevant here, since I also have a vague memory of Greek words often ending in s, which might be a grammar thing, but I don't actually know any Greek 🤔
