i don't want to know why anyone would eat microscopic critter fossils but i do want to know approximately how many nooks and crannies of my house i can sprinkle with them from a 1L canister

multiple people have now come over to explain to me in reply to this that "food grade" does not mean "people are going to eat it" so let me clarify, I am not referring to the label of "food grade", I am referring to this.

i feel like the explanation is that somewhere in the history of the use of DE, some people went "DE kills bugs" + "bad bacteria et al. are colloquially called bugs" = "DE kills bad bacteria" but I don't think this deserves more of my brainpower. <.<
