just had a coworker give the "gun control is uniquely impossible in the US because we have such a strong hunting culture here" and i'm like??? do you REALLY think we're the only country to have a strong hunting culture???

@balrogboogie my usual response is "if you need a semi-automatic rifle with a 30-round mag to take down one deer then you're obviously not very good at it"
@Archadia @balrogboogie oh I know, but they're incredibly reticent about saying that, they always say "I need this for hunting" instead
So I'm trying to hit their ego until they admit that their toys are for shooting people-type things so that bit of their argument collapses
