see, if cd project red were smart, they'd put in a check to see if your copy of cyberpunk 2077 was legit or not, and when it finds that it's not it gives a little notification of "hey, you stole this, well done chummer, that was indeed the thematically correct thing to do"
@troubleMoney@computerfairi.es but then they'd have to not be hypocritical assholes
@InspectorCaracal hence the "if they were smart"
@troubleMoney@computerfairi.es touche lol
@troubleMoney I'm reminded of the various hacker forums that turn on moderation but have no moderator, on the theory that if you can't work around that you probably don't have anything worthwhile to add to the conversation.
actually, y'know what?
they should put like, one download code per half hour in a text file on one of those exploitable VMs people use for capture the flag games and let the internet have at it
you own the server when the text file updates, you can get a free copy of the game
maybe sit on the server for a while, if you can, get keys for all your chummers
you can have that advertising campaign idea for free CDPR 'cause I know you're not cool enough to use it
