It's a supermarket, you put the things you want to buy in a trolley, then you go and pay for the things

@hfrazey are they used to "open all hours"-type shops where you tell the shopkeeper what you want and they give it to you or something?
@hfrazey I suppose the shopping cart thing isn't as much of an issue in the US
Over here people would just walk home with the cart and all their shopping in there then dump them wherever
Cost the supermarkets a lot of money in recovering the carts so they put the deposit things on them
I guess since there isn't as much walking home with shopping going on in the US that isn't as much of a problem
@troubleMoney yeah only in the denser neighborhoods where people don't have (or can't afford) cars. Otherwise it's all zoom zoom all the time
@troubleMoney here in America we are behind the rest of the world in a LOT of ways
