yes, i'm still mad about this, https://outline.com/7fhRBg because there might be a good point buried somewhere in there.
in the thick, thick layer of "nobody could ever be disabled from being mildly autistic. praxis is knowing that better than they do. this is good politics, to reiterate just how much being mildly autistic is bullshit and not a thing, but instead a symptom of a massive personality flaw. only the sort of massive dickbag like this could ever consider their autism a disability."
@wigglytuffitout yeah i closed that link when i saw medium.com hahaha
@Scarly the shame is that i actually read it and there's a point i may be able to agree with the author about, it's just that the author was too busy throwing disabled people, and specifically autistic people, under the bus so hard that there was absolutely not any room in the limelight for, y'know, the other points.
in either case the author of that now owes me, A Known Disabled, damages of at least one (1) good bottle of vodka, Not The Cheap Shit, Grey Goose Or Better.
@wigglytuffitout yeah I honestly didn't know a lot of that stuff about arpwel but they could have left his autism out of it. they kind of poisoned their own well there tbh
@productidea oh it's about a specific dude? ok that makes much more sense.
i got that feeling but now i'm sure that the entire thing could have been much more effective and succinct if it just read, "y'know what? fuck greg. i hate that guy." and that was the end of it
"praxis is mocking disabled people by painting them all as massive whiners, right? they're just interrupting our life and death struggles with their talking about being disabled. anyway, it's good politics to mock them, we're so much better than capitalism dehumanizing and mocking disabled lives because we can dehumanize and mock disabled lives too! ....but, like, it's probably organic and pesticide-free, so it's better. praxis!"
lort in goddamn heaven y'all.
