like the characters do get a bit of an arc in that Aberforth realizes he can cool his jets and only hate his brother, like, 50% power, not 110% power with bonus slurs
but Albus's arc is that he kinda...
....has the moment where he recognizes people are making sacrifices for him to pursue a personal grudge, and
doesn't grow from it
but instead kind of accepts it as how the world goes now and rightly so
so if i ever get around to writing Albus Dumbledore And The Crow-Mother Kachina, please know that most of it is just me going
"hey that dumbledore dude? yeah he sucks, actually"
the rest is, in order of relevance:
- longwinded worldbuilding re: magical foundational theory, and how native americans had that shit worked out nicely until white settlers sabotaged it knowingly and intentionally
- excuse for vampire confederate general henchman to get kersploded with dynamite
