my blood sugar hasg gone from being generally consistently high to being consistnetly low? and i feel fine? and ive had to half my basal rate twice so far for my pump?? and eating doesnt affect my blood glucose? what is going on

have you started any new medications or supplements? like even shit that you wouldn't think would be in the same wheelhouse at all?
eating not affecting your blood glucose though is a big ❗ though - mostly if you can show that eating does Fucking Nothing if you're going low which is, y'know, bad times
really really fuckin weird, definitely put in a call to your doc asap. it's not like ER level but it's "get up at 8am" level imho

@root it could be that has a significant part of it - but also loop a doctor in really emphatically.
you'll probably get a ref to a dietician, which if you have the time/money, definitely go to. i'm not trying to be all obnoxious omnivore at you i promise, it's just that vegan while diabetic can get tricky really quick because a lot of vegan options are really, really heavy on carbs (since beans are carbs, lentils, rice, etc).

oh dw i know! im well researched on all that and really dont eat that different from when i was vegetarian i just get vegan cheese and dont eat eggs. ive hacd a lot of weird junk happen to me with diabetes, used to sleepwalk for a year lol was due to poor diabetes management so i manage it well, but it's weird because despite repeatedly lowering my rates, it still is low and thjat shouldnt be the case

i wish i had some better advice to give other than "uhhhhhhhhhhh idk" but man. sometimes bodies just. do some bullshit that's basically inscrutable unless you've got like three degrees LOL

@root it could be that most of it is that you're getting your body into a groove that's alleviated a lot of insulin resistance! ....but also not having blood sugar affected at all when you eat is a great big honkin danger that i'd be super suspicious of (to the point of checking your meter against somebody else's to see if they agree tbh)
