i've been on mastodon for months and i still don't know what praxis is exactly, though i can usually garner meaning from context
but i have no idea what a tankie is
like i gather it's a certain type of shitheel motherfucker but what is tankie short for. the only mental image i get with 'tankie' is 'like a tank in warfare but cutesy?' which then leads down that dark road of those japanese rpgs where all the tanks are generic moeblob anime girls for some godforsaken reason??

oddly i've heard it used in context more as like. "a tankie is somebody who is too sympathetic to capitalism" Ah The Joys Of Linguistic Drift
the best definition for praxis i have come up with from context is "real-world actions derived from political ideals; a very fancy way to say '(best) practices'"
