omg i think the amphibians in the backyard are going to bully me into learning herpetology thru sheer numbers

one big lad has made his hidey hole home right by the door, and i saw him this morning

and just now when taking the dog out, i saw TWO MORE toads just hoppin' across the porch with no care in the world

idk if the big lad is the same as this morning, but i did catch him and asked if he would like his portrait taken and he gave me SEVERE STINK EYE before wriggling and hopping away
