meanwhile in youtube watching, i just went straight from wholesome ghibli movie meals cooked on a bonfire to snickers salad

@InspectorCaracal listen i was dubious until i heard the ingredient list and after the concept of it was explained, i'm on board

however i'd propose that instead of snickers, using Payday or another peanut-and-caramel bar, chopping it fairly fine, and then chucking that in with your apple chunks and cool whip

@wigglytuffitout okay but it's not a salad

i am not midwestern enough to call that a salad

@InspectorCaracal i already call broccoli salad a salad, and watergate salad a salad, so i am already committed to the white person Dubious Foods Thrown Together And Dubbed A Salad law

green fluff is green fluff though. i mean you can call it a salad if you want but it's fluff

@wigglytuffitout honestly I think the defining characteristic of "a salad" in white people speak is just "a bunch of food items mixed together in some kind of light-colored dressing"

@wigglytuffitout i wonder what the weirdest "salad" i can come up with that isn't already a thing but also isn't disgusting would be 🤔

@wigglytuffitout i pulled up the video because morbid curiosity and the look on this woman's face when she says "I'm going to be making snickers salad" is like "I will not show how much I regret my choices right now"

@InspectorCaracal listen emmy is just glad there's not any mayonnaise in this one

i actually like her a lot because she doesn't launch immediately into EWWW GROSSOUT over retro recipes, she is like "this is weird but i'm going to actually give this a fair shake" which i massively respect, especially when she's doing recipes that have their source in the great depression, etc.
