people always say I'm brave when I say I cut my own hair and I'm like nah I'm not brave I'm just like, I don't like people touching my hair, and also I suck at explaining things so professional hair stylists are never gonna understand what I want and it'll always come out wrong, you know?
also they're too fashion-conscious. if I go in and am like "cut my hair like Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet, here are pictures", I promise you, that ain't the cut I'd get
@InspectorCaracal .........honestly i could see you rocking it tho
90% of fashion is just doing whatever you like but really confidently
@wigglytuffitout these are super true but also in your mind I am an Actual Caracal, you have no idea what my face looks like lmfao
@wigglytuffitout no but really I know this is true, I have wore some pretty wild outfits
my fashion inclinations tend to run in the direction of pre-Eccleston Doctor Who
@wigglytuffitout lmfao HARP
@wigglytuffitout oh god the worst part of this is that I actually MADE a caracal edit of a Disney protag before for real
@InspectorCaracal It does kind of seem like a style that requires you to either be an actual cartoon or possibly just spend a lot of time futzing with your hair and hair products every morning to get the too-long-for-bangs sides to frame your face Just Right.
@Rowyn *coughs* actually I have a lot of practice with that part, it's... less difficult than you'd think
basically I just run tousling gel through my hair and shake it out a little and voila
the biggest trick is getting the part in the right place, but once you get that it's relatively simple to keep it there
@InspectorCaracal oooh!
If I wasn't addicted to long hair I'd be tempted to try it. :D
@InspectorCaracal (the other 10% is basic tailoring)
