Been thinking a lot about how transitioning took me from being an okay looking straight dude to a pretty cursed (at best incredibly niche) gay chick.
I would do it again, but like, people legit think we do this for clout? The opportunity cost on all axes is HUGE for us.
The things we gain are intangible: baseline boost to sanity, dysphoria mitigation, a richer connection to our emotions. On the whole those can be huge, but... gosh the things we stand to lose… 😮‍💨😔😒
