@packbat @radikalgrafitio eh, I'm in favor of a large degree of localization myself (well, of downscaling), because hypercapitalist industry has built for _huge_ volume and centralized production. why produce your own steel for your own region when you can just buy from the same gigantic overseas conglomerate that everyone else does? they're the only ones that can afford to produce needed materials in volume, at the absolute minimum price

@radikalgrafitio @packbat I think you're grabbing on to a few words and making unwarranted assumptions about what I mean with them but I really haven't the spoons for this
politics, environmentalism, technology (boost with CW)
@radikalgrafitio @packbat yes. I am talking about how things are *right now*, that's all, and suggesting that we'll do better by spreading production capability more widely. that's it, I'm not proposing an economic model

@radikalgrafitio you're sort of...having a conversation with yourself at this point, so I'm gonna sign out
good luck with the whatever

@Alyx you say stuff then complain that you get a response
politics, environmentalism, technology (boost with CW)
@radikalgrafitio I'm not complaining, you're just not talking about anything that I was actually thinking about at this point, so we've gone sailing off in different conversational directions

@Alyx @packbat localism is no less capitalist
you can t produce your own steal
how could you buy something when there is communism?
