Not all cults are religious
I used to hear the stories of people who’d come out of cults (as typically defined in our media) and think ‘wow, what a unique life experience.’
I now (partly, mostly, or nearly completely) out of heteronormativity, cisnormativity, liberalism, American exceptionalism, capitalism, rationalism, and scientism and that’s just the cults I can think of off the top of my head. So many of us are survivors, it would seem.

uh is there some Firefox plugin that will let me change what typeface an arbitrary website uses? I'd like to use a bigger font without changing the layout in other ways (which is what happens if you try just..naively scaling)
of course I can't access the Windows file sharing network from Xubuntu no matter what I try

woohoo got some gtk super basic stuff working. first code I've done in...heck, who knows
bleh, should I really be plugging away with C? it's the language I know best but it's not...great
(and because I didn't build the system of course I don't know what's in it, exactly)
of course something's not working now. onboard audio now borked. yay Linux
ok if I wanna do gtk stuff then Xubuntu makes some sense. it's kinda of a local minimum when it comes to free operating systems. it's not great but it's less annoying than a lot of other choices
