What kind of world do we live in where my skateboard is spying on me?!

The mere idea of a skateboard spying on me conflicts so strongly with the notions of consensus reality ingrained during my childhood that I feel completely unbalanced by just typing it into my phone.
I think part of the reasons for the collective denial of our surveillance capitalism hellscape is that acknowledging it throws our entire sense of self into question. It creates profoundly disturbing absurdities.
Anyway my new skateboard has headlights built into the deck that can only be turned off and on with Bluetooth, which sucks balls.
I wish I knew how to sandbox the app.
@Anarkat it's a electric board, so I'd return it before going to that much trouble.
This is an extra reason why hardware remote controls are better than balance control.
