Why is "Keep your eyes peeled" something people say? I don't know what peeling one's eyes would entail, but it sounds horrific.

SUPPORT THE ONES YOU LOVE.

SUPPORT THE ONES YOU LIKE.

SUPPORT THE ONES WHO NEED HELP.

WE ARE A HIVE AND A HONEYCOMB.

BE SWEET AND WORK TOGETHER.

WE WILL FLOURISH.

The most illogical thing about the English language is that the plural of wink is blink.

The main reason for large ears, fins and so on (anything that has a large surface area) is so there is more to (be) pet(ted).

I haven't written a whole lot here, and partially it's a lack of (knowing what) stuff to post.

But then I simultaneously want to talk to people and not be a bother to anyone. I barely even follow anyone for the same reason.

Not talking to anyone and not opening up myself, I don't really know anyone here. Since none of you know me, why'd you be interested in anything I have to say?

Even then I suspect that I'm looking at this too somberly. I usually do when anticipating others.

A little ago in a stream I'm watching someone misspelled tissue box as tissue fox. That was apparently enough for me to try hastily drawing what that might look like. computerfairi.es/media/cNFsjj-

There is little clarity as to what is going in combat. Enemy troops (and some of yours) will have arrows in differing colours, but mostly no health bars unless you hover over someone. Everyone starts running into and through each other, with no indication of what side is winning. At one point I though the enemy were dead and it turned out they had a dozen or so left.

One creature description has already been unhelpful. "can keep our enemies off-balance" means they get flung in the air.

I've been trying Sacrifice over the past few days, which is a third-person RTS with the main gimmick being you can choose one of five scenarios each time. I like it so far, but...

From the two second-tier level I've played, the difficulty varies quite a bit on the same tier. The first let me just steamroll the opposing mage over and over, while the other starts them with considerable defenses and gives them an easy shot at your base, especially if you don't know about the teleport.

I use mastodon in a weirdly performative way, as in I don't see the point of writing anything that I don't think will interest anyone else.

Since Wily bides his time until either Mega Man or his robot bunch du jour have offed one another, and robot masters always take over some place to turn into their fortress wouldn't Mega Man be able to practically stop Wily by just not bothering?

"Well, we're down a couple of factories, an airport, a bit of ocean and two acres of forest but if this works we'll have achieved world peace!"

Wily wonders from his fortress what's taking so long out there.

Meanwhile Mega Man has taken a nap.

As far as I can tell, the history of computing is mostly people severely and consistently underestimating the future capacities and importance of computers.

Slightly macabre joke:

Did you hear about the man who wanted his own grave?

He's really digging it.

I have a tendency to insert all sorts of apologetic language or words like "maybe" and "possibly". I'm not entirely sure why.

I don't know if that's of any use for you all, but now you know.

I. live. again.

Actually it's noon already but whatever

If you, as a baker, were to bake the same pies over and over, day in day out would that be a quiché?

I see why I've not bothered with social media until now.
Making my thoughts public isn't something I'm familiar with or good at, and when I do I usually want to make sure it's at least relevant. I don't know if any of you care about what I have to say either, but I usually assume people don't. Maybe it'll ease with time.

Anyway, I'm off to bed. I'll likely see you lot tomorrow.

I don't know if anyone here has spent much time on Gamejolt, the Yoyogames Sandbox and Itch.io. Among the stuff in these there are many games that try and fail to emulate other titles. Games that claim to be for an audience, but are (clearly) for the author. Games that look, sound and act for seemingly no reason.

Sometimes I get a sense of joy from those more than from competent works. I feel, but am not sure that the concept of compersion is an apt discription in those cases.
