I'm wondering how much difficulty is caused in AI research because with social media experiments it's impossible to tell a malfunctioning AI from one that's shitposting.

@tiden@awoo.space Maybe I missed it, but how did your Tiden model end up?

Joke (attempted):

I'm doing reckless stunts driving this car. Don't stand in the way or you might get hurt if my drift catches you.

I'm pretty lucky that most of my anxiety at the moment stems from repeatedly going out of my comfort zone.

Is there a name for the specific kind of terror that occurs when you're not sure if you should (have) post(ed) something and are now anticipating how people will react?

I feel like it'd be useful for me to know.

Drawing sent out. Now we wait.

I notice the image description doesn't show up on sensitive images until you click to view it. Is that intentional? Seems to me like you might want to be able to read the description before viewing the thing sometimes.

I'll see you lot tomorrow.

Got more drawing done than expected today. Maybe I'll have time to continue writing an entry tomorrow.

This drawing went from "pretty good" to "I'm not sure anymore if I want to present this" and now it's back at "pretty good" somehow.

Eh.

Every time I draw, at some point in the process, I discover how much I can't draw.

usually when It comes to faces.

I'm going to bed. If you see me again tomorrow, please tell me to do draw or write.

I think if anything is going to cause an AI uprising it will be because of AIs being used by people who don't understand computers, so they think every problem is "because of a virus" and they'll eventually manage to accumulate ~30 useless toolbars onto the AI's virtual retina.

i kinda wish there was a way to say "i see what you said and appreciate it" without tying it into the "likes"/"favorites" thing that places use, because at the same time those tend to encourage popularity contests / feelings of inadequacy (e.g. if post x gets y likes but post z gets < y likes, it was bad)

blah
