bird site pretends to be "real" in ways insta isn't (and it's not wholly wrong) but it's still a site where you are connected to a LOT of people you know irl and wanna keep a certain public front that just is NOT necessary here

i tried being active there a couple different times, and just always ended up getting weird vibes all over the place 
and beyond that, i often don't have much that I feel like posting myself, but I like responding to what other folks have to say... which didnt work too hot since very few people tended to reply to anything there... whereas here it's just the total opposite. I love it, tbh.

@Chel 💟 i try! i absolutely love masto and i hope it lives forever. im encouraged to tale care of myself and be positive, but never punished with lack of attention on my bad days. here i have friends old and new who support & love me, and there are no cruel algs to hide my #sadposts
