@aurynn I don't know but I could sure use one of those things right about now
...is what I would say if I hadn't ran into some spoilers while scrolling down the timeline and saw that it was, in fact, YOU that had the nap!
so, like, congrats on the napping. here's hoping it was a five star A+ nap
@Chel It was a pretty great nap tbh
@aurynn excellent.
@aurynn I'm not familiar with this! But I'm a big fan of both caffeine and sleep, so you definitely have my attention!
@Chel So, caffeine doesn't make you less tired, it prevents "you feel tired" from binding in your brain.
It also takes about 20 minutes to kick in.
It also takes about 30 minutes for you to enter the deep phase of a sleep cycle
so
if you slug back some caffeine, then immediately have a power nap for 20 or 25 minutes, when you wake up then you'll have flushed out some "you feel sleepy" and the caffeine will hit.
@Chel Going beyond 25 minutes of sleep pulls you into the deep phase of your sleep cycle, and you'll need the full 90 minutes before you can wake up without being super groggy
@aurynn How can I claim to love caffeine and sleep when everything I know about them is proven to be false?
That's extremely useful and interesting to know, and something that I'll definitely be giving a shot at some point! <3
Thank you so much for sharing that with me!
(also, as a completely random aside your hair is incredible and that color is just perfect)
@Chel thank you 🙂 I'm really happy with it. It's been something like 4 years of this colour so far!
@aurynn You're very welcome! And I admire the dedication!
@Chel I get some interesting looks when I'm wandering around, and definitely weird looks when I'm in business meetings
@aurynn I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that it's because they're all secretly just seething with jealousy on the inside.
@Chel Very clearly they are
@Chel Have you tried the caffeine sleep hack?
