holy shit. one of my favorite fics ever just ended. 2 years and over 200k words and it’s been such a journey. i can measure so much in my life by this story, grown from a dying fandom that has built so much depth out of such underrated source material. but those of us that get it really fucking get it and in that there is some real magic.
@pixelpaperyarn oh god. I don’t read fanfiction much these days but a couple years ago this one that I’d been following for close to a decade ended and it was just like... holy crap.
@pixelpaperyarn it was... kinda weird, not gonna lie. checking for updates on occasion became part of my weekly routine, and then it was just gone... lol.
it can be funny how things like that can worm their way into being a routine part of life that doesn't even get noticed until its gone.
