Yep. Its why I can't stand things like podcasts and the like as well, to be honest.
If their content was written down? Sure, I'd be all over it... but I'm sorry, I don't have the patience to just listen to people talk.
@Chel @KitRedgrave Some of us aren't able to write like that. I record my voice because I can then listen back and there are others who are better able to absorb audio.
Also, I have a disability that makes writing for extended periods very painful
If someone else is able to transcribe podcast notes, that's great, but please don't exclude us completely
@cypnk @KitRedgrave@glitch.social to be perhaps a bit more clear, I don't have an issue with podcasts, video content and such, I'm just not able to enjoy it myself... and I realize that I'm probably a relative minority in that regard, lol
In a perfect world, improvements to text to speech and speech to text would make it all a moot point, really. Anything that can makes content more accessible is a win, really
But yeah, definitely don't want anyone to be excluded from anything for the sake of my convenience
