My instinct is to hide today. To go away, be quiet, and subsume myself in the orthocosm, despite how awful that feels. For some reason, though, I'm still here. And still making noise.

I see people saying we pushed back last night, that it was a good first step. I saw that an overwhelming number of people see our current situation and think, "Yes, good, more of this!"

That anyone could see the naked cruelty for the sake of cruelty and gleefully say they want more of it is depressing. No, it's not everyone. But the fact of the matter is it's more than just a few people. It's a few MILLION people. And the folks who are supposed to support and represent us are more worries about hurting the feelings of those who would be cruel, than stopping that cruelty.
