i can't believe i just had the convo with my mom that i just had

my sister is applying for disability for a variety of reasons

my mom calls and is all like, "i can't believe she's giving up, she should just try harder, this is a shame to the family, why grandma had one arm and blah blah"

i'm just stunned bc holy shit, i didn't realize that my fucking mother was ableist, lol

im like, yeah okay, you know i have fibro and friends with disabilities right? wtf
