So, one of my yuppie neighbors decided to follow Marie Kondo's advice and got rid of a bunch of stuff that no longer brought him joy.
By throwing it in the trash.
Because the only thrift shop he spoke to didn't accept the items he was getting rid of and he didn't realize there's other thrift shops that sell more than just clothes.
He completely filled the dumpster, making the stuff generally unusable and also massively inconveniencing everyone else in the building who now have no trash space.
But it gets even better.
Someone saw all the high-value stuff in the dumpster and broke into our garbage room.
Breaking the lock and gate in the process.
Which destroys the security of our garage because the fire codes require it as an emergency exit for some reason (even though it makes no sense as one).
As a temporary fix the security company bolted the gate shut for now.
So the garbage can't even be picked up for two more weeks.
