@feathers @porsupah no more Samurai Bento? :blobtilt:

Ah well... good spam musubi is some measure of comfort, at least.

Honestly, I simply cannot wait to evacuate Seattle will all due haste and run, laughing and weeping, back to Portland. One year. One year. 😅

@feathers @porsupah coincidentally, 10th and Alder is exactly the block I was talking about! 😅

I never had a chance to try Korean Twist, but I was/am very fond of The Frying Scotsman, Samurai Bento, Thai E-San, and a lot of places who's names have since faded in the four years since

It was about eight blocks for me, making it a decent little trip to get to - but one that was well worth it.

@Taweret@octodon.social these posts are a public service tbh

@porsupah Portland's street food scene is... well, borderline absurd.

As an example... I used to work near this block. It was lined on all sides with food carts, of all sorts imaginable, and it was not all together unique. :blobmelt:

The Korean burritos are wonderful, and if you ever find yourself in the Northwest you'll have to give them a try~

And that does sound like quite a lovely way to end a night! :blobthumbsup:

@porsupah Portland was very good for places like that!

There were a lot of really wonderful foodcarts that had all manner of food - including, but by no means limited to the best fish and chips I've had in my life... not to mention some utterly incredible burritos. One of my favorites served up burritos done with Korean inspired ingredients like bulgogi and kimchi fried rice. It was incredible. :blobaww:

I look forward to moving back next year :blobmelt:

Scarly talked a bit about her adventures in implementing activitypub... afterward we both said, at the same time,

"that sounds like Hell"

this has been her general mood with the project

Bang Bang Kitchen has some damn good (albeit pricey) burritos, off the Othello light rail station.

The green chili sauce is ✨ WONDERFUL ✨, and the sopapillas are just tasty af.

@Beancatte@chitter.xyz pink hair is an instant win in my book :blobthumbsup:

@lynnesbian nothing wrong with taking a leisurely approach to something like this tbh. good to give yourself a break now and then, even if it was potentially unintentional

@lynnesbian :blobaww:

(she was actually looking at solutions for markdown/etc via an optional extensions style approach in her own thingy)

If I were to get an ebooks bot of my very own, it'd probably... er... well, it'd probably actually be a bit boring, all things considered. :blobnervous:

@porsupah they are beautiful ;_;

truly, you have blessed my timeline :paw_fx90_pray:

(not even joking x3)
