trying to find places to live that aren't horrifically expensive has been a major challenge for us, though the fact that we're in Seattle makes that hard to avoid to say the least. One place wanted to increase our monthly rent by $500 if we renewed >_>;

when we move we're actually leaving the state entirely to slightly less expensive pastures

at this point renting a home just sounds impossibly delightful compared to apartment stuff, tbh.

@revolverocelot We have plans, thankfully! Things should be improved quite a bit.

Honestly, a town home full of old people sounds kind of delightful after having dealt with nonstop loud neighbors here and elsewhere over the last couple years, lol.

Here's hoping that y'all have good luck in moving forward to a place featuring restful and quiet nights

(something that should be easy and straight forward, but sometimes seems like a hell of a challenge)

@revolverocelot Y'all sound basically exactly like us, tbh. We're quiet as heck and have a good rapport with the folks that work in the office, but I could see them getting sick of us if we keep…er… expecting to be able to sleep?

And yeah, that's also been our experience with our neighbors in general. There's a little message board system that the management runs, and it's basically filled with reports of broken/stolen amenity stuff, pets making messes, peeps being rude, etc. 😵
