i have the habit of never wearing pants around the house

normally, this isn't a problem at all, but then i'm like "chel, can you get me X" where X is a cold drink of some kind

inevitably, whatever i asked for ends up getting spilled on my bare thighs with little or no warning and lots of screaming, bc @Chel is a friendly furry space cadet

i swear, that's literally the only way to get a reaction out of me, lol

if i had a dollar for every cishet white guy in tech that started out a conversation with me like -

"i am not going to apologize if i seem off putting to you, but you have to understand that im a visionary"

id be able to buy capitalism and destroy it.

@garfiald @anthonydavis i guess the issue with this is that if someone doesn't have the "lens" of experiencing the decline of a large community into a popularity contest then it's hard to see that the costs outweigh the benefits

but, i mean - one look at twitter should be enough to show that account followers is a terrible metric to build a community around

communities should be built on all of their members, not just a few people that everyone likes lol

i have the questionable habit of making minor typos and writing errors in toots that i would never make anywhere else

and every time... i'm like... do i fix it? or... nah...

and then i do it again.

it's a shame that so many Americans are so culturally myopic

there's an entire world out there of beauty, experiences, tastes, sounds, and experiences that so many Americans don't even care to begin to imagine

i can't imagine life like that; being both ignorant of the broader world and prideful in that ignorance

was watching a Korean horror movie earlier today with @Chel and it basically turned out to be amazing

which was interesting, since the reviews were middling at best

i have to say that we've found most non-Hollywood movies to be significantly better than critic opinion or user reviews would suggest

basically, there's a bias against non-Hollywood movies at a lot of review sites, which is sad

gay girls wearing glasses are essential praxis

i was watching stranger things on netflix and I kinda felt like the upside down wiould actually be a fun place to live in, aside from the carnivorous life forms and toxic atmosphere

but like. the aesthetic..

i wish i had space for old tech

i would probably collect the old fruit colored imacs and retrofit a few to be exceptionally gay pcs
