blarg. want a cat but current apartment is incredibly ill suited for it :blobtilt:

as the blankets consume me, the time for sleep approaches closer and closer.

but first, it’s time to mindlessly scroll around the timeline on my phone, spying on the lives of those potentially less boring than myself 👀

my hiccups are weapons of mass destruction tbh

Having 18+ in your bio is meaningless if you post lewd shit without content warnings in a public timeline, ya weirdos.

the dinosaurs upstairs are more active than normal tonight. the stomping is unusually potent and repetitive, and the voices are louder. angrier.

some of the sounds are stranger than normal. I dare not guess as to their origin

send help.

I don't really know wtf I'm doing, all I know is that perspective and anatomy stuff is weird and scary 🤷

the most important part of cleaning is picking appropriate background music :blobhyperthink:

now that I have that out of the way, it's time to get a-scrubbin' :paw_fx90_muscle:

I need to add some more variety to my music collection :blobthinking:

anyone have recommendations?

(not overly concerned about genre, I have faves from bloody damn near everything)

I need to put my phone down and have some coffee :blobflushed:

@Scarly apparently when I toot before coffee I risk inserting a lot of random spaces into my roots :blobnervous:

there’s always been a sad dichotomy between computer science - the formal discipline - and computer science - the exciting thing that lets us make cool stuff and improve the world

tests, documentation, proper agile coding - this is all well and good but don’t forget the “why”.

learning to code is about more than checkboxes and procedures. learning to code is about creating something, making mistakes, getting messy.

i hate most modern comp sci curriculums bc i feel like the fun has been lost

once in a great while I'll think about trying to reconnect with some of the folks from my past

generally, almost immediately afterwards, I'll remember why they were left in the past and immediately banish the thought 🤷
