what's the line between comfort character and kin? asking for a friend of course

@DarkWitchClaire they're kin if you see them and go "oh that's me" basically
they're still a comfort character as well in most cases tho
@00dani what about a character that i'm not sure is exactly me but has still inspired me a lot or i don't feel like i'm them all the time?
@DarkWitchClaire does the idea of saying you're kin with them make you happy? cuz that's really all that matters
