lol we found the nonbinary take folks have been talking about and yikes, this is just a microcosm of incredibly terrible takes
if you start out defining yourself by your oppression you're about half a step from radfem, transmed, and/or playing the victim. your self-centered view of the world misses everything that other people experience.
things like dysphoria, non-binary identity, and oppression specific to m-spec sexualities...
if you start from a perspective of listening to other people's experiences, you'll get a lot farther. you might even understand them better!

i think she might have some genuine points somewhere inside of the bullshit but everything together is a big damn yikes
like, for one of them, we could sit down and talk about how all trans identity breaks cisnormative assumptions and it might not be useful to keep "nonbinary" as a separate category if we can smash the binary entirely. but "nonbinary isn't a thing" isn't that take, unless it's a statement for shock value and the actual meaning is in the same post
or we could talk about where bisexual oppression comes from and discuss whether there's anything specific to mspec identities that's oppressed or if it is just for breaking heteronormativity. but "you can't be oppressed because of bisexuality" is the worst possible way to word that

@starfall @flowerenby it's even worse, her whole reasoning behind "nonbinary isn't a thing" is that "the patriarchy doesn't care" and she thinks gender noncomformity is the same thing

@DarkWitchClaire @flowerenby all of which are things that discussions can be had over and we'd probably actually listen to a nonbinary person saying lol
but when it synthesizes into exorsexism, that's when we have a problem. because like, viewing GNC as a nonbinary expression is understandable, and attributing nonbinary oppression to the same patriarchal binary-cis enforcement that all trans folks is understandable, but using that to disqualify nonbinary folks from existence is fucked up
