bees belong to:
-the gays
-enbies
-basically just not the cishets

Came across an archived copy of gURL from 1999, and I’m really noticing how good websites of the era were at having dense, but readable, chunks of content on a desktop. Interesting to compare to modern sites, which require large amounts of scrolling.

right now i'm switching between a ff 2 style theme or a 3 style theme on pale moon and while the latter looks more pleasing to me part of me feels that the 2 style theme is more accurate

it also looks nice with the firefox 2 theme for pale moon (even though it mimics the xp look). there's a small border at the bottom of maximized windows but it doesn't seem to affect anything unlike the os 9 theme i tried

theming ubuntu mate 18.04 isn't going so great but i kinda managed to get the bluecurve look circa red hat 9

current aesthetic: feral catgirl climbing and knocking over everything

trans silly

Am I a "bad enough dude"? Buddy, I was such a bad dude they kicked me out of the dude club and I became a girl

spent way too long working on a forum post layout only to realize it has to be 640px wide, what have you done today?

Things I liked about 80's/90's computing:
- Total control over my hardware
- Software that worked with me, not against me
- Superior aesthetics (yeah I said it :3 )
- Overall sense of promise and freedom

Things I like about computing today:
- Easy and open access to knowledge
- Insane amounts of storage
- The sheer computing POWERRRR

Now if only we could make these attributes come together instead of being period exclusive. :blobthinking:
