hellllooo friends! time for another announcement!
is a real thing now. it's an instance (not mine) where admins are gonna talk about admin shit.
if you're an admin join up!
if you're interested in what admins are up to i guess you can also join up or follow us or use a tool to read off the public feed or gosh i dunno, probably lots of options
this is a direct response to calls for greater insight/transparency into admin discussions. work is ongoing!
feel free to boost
Ok, I worked for (not enough) money for 1,5 hours. It wasn't too bad. Now I want to do nice things like #pcode and #knitting and I'm tired. But I really should get more work done today, because it's raining. And when it stops raining (hopefully soon) I will want to leave the house and not work.
Life is complicated.
Btw, there is a wiki about nonbinary stuff in German as well: http://de.nichtbinaer.wikia.com/
(yes, it's on wikia, maybe that's going to change one day, but right now it's just really cool that such a resource exists in German)
I want to write an image description in a little program I'm writing. I need to describe the expression on a fairy's face but I have no idea how because it is ... just a face to me? ^^ Could be anything from surprised to confused to skeptical to scared to disgusted to...
In regards to uh, a Recent Boost, by Trev, about people not "looking the part"
it's so important to stand up against that. "Looking the part" is often an expensive process. "It costs a lot to look this poor" etc. Who "looks the part"? People in my local community have complained about being pushed out of white lgbt spaces for appearing to be "just another working-class puerto rican" which somehow precludes being a Real Queer. What fashions are tied to what cultures? Who gets to "appear gay"?
This is not a statement on all the #meta talk. I'm just being pragmatic because this project hardly works, when we can't connect.
Ok, my #pcode related tooting will move to this account.
Ok, I'm switching to another account for the #pcode project, because there are at least 2 people from social.tchncs.de who I can't connect with anymore. If you are interested in following, look for jules@cybre.space :)
Played with classes today. I had fun, considering I have to get used to the dynamic typing.
hey @Mina :)
#pcode is just a group (in the wider sense) of people who want to learn coding and some people who want to help. And we are all at different levels. We decided to learn python. For some it's the first programming language they learn.
For me it's learning python and helping out when I can :)
Last night I found GPIO Zero https://github.com/RPi-Distro/python-gpiozero and now I want to revive my old raspi again because this looks like the kind of uncomplicated fun I need right now :)
oh and tea, please! very queer and autistic. disability. fibre. they-pronouns.
not much tech-related tooting but feelings and everything.
I like tea but: http://ko-fi.com/A674QB4
