obligatory comment: physical things fall apart in obvious ways, "digital" things deteriorate in often unnoticed ways xkcd.com/1909/#
preserving interactivity is the challenge; various communities (some unknowingly) made progress. I wrote about it: figshare.com/articles/Evaluati mastodon.social/media/tBGUrcFw

@NerdResa But somehow this is exactly what makes C so exciting and fun to use ^^ That's when you like the feeling of doom and not writing code that could do real damage.

i was GOING to say:

can we somehow supplant, dismantle, or otherwise be rid of the academic publishing industry?

it seems rotten to the core

"Do you see router advertisments now?" - "No, I'm using AdBlock."
...

When communication via forums and things like that are just taking forever and it's going so slow and you get impatient. But actually it's great because it gives you time to process and not be overwhelmed by all the human contact. I don't know /o\

So please help our developer @charlag out:

We want to show the upload progress of media files - should it be a percent value or a progress bar? Or both?

And if we implement a tab to view a users media, would you prefer a fourth tab in profiles or should we hide it in the menu like the web version does?

I wish we could do UI/UX polls on what people would prefer for #tusky
1) Media upload progress - progress bar or percent as text?
2) Media tab in profile - forth tab (with scrolling tabs) or hidden in the menu?

"ejecting" USB drives implies something far cooler than it is

After pressing that button the drive should shoot out of the computer with tiny rockets and then land on a little parachute

The good people of #FDroid have updated the app and I must say it is looking better than ever.

A munch needed visual upgrade welcomes the application to the 1.0 release.
