#introductions time again i guess
coog, late twenty something queer nonbinary heavily dyspraxic scottish entity
i'm an unlicensed computer toucher who has a worrying hardon for obsolete tech, musical and broadcasting history
occasionally i play an overgrown housecat on the internet and when i have the spoons i do digital art in various forms, mostly music though
But, in searching for it I stumbled on "The Lamb will slaughter the Lion" by Margret Killjoy, which is not really a whodunit, but is still quite a nice little book filled with lots of queer anarchists, demon deers and, well, murder.
There are a few pacing issues and I'm not really sure about the "villain(s)"m but I'd still recommend it. (And it seems there will be sequels, so we'll see how that goes.)
For a while now, I've been looking for something that I feel should exist but, AFAICT so far, doesn't:
A #whodunit or #hardboiled detective/#crime story, but set in the #anarchist/far left/squatting scene.
It seems so obvious: Close-knit community with lots of reasons not to involve regular authorities, ripe with conflicts both personal and political, big questions about what justice does look or can look like, cultures of both solidarity and self-reliance, ...
Sadly I have yet to find it.
The world's most powerful Mob boss has publicly announced that whoever successfully assassinates him will inherit his position, money and influence for they have truly earned it. Soon after he falls to his death after tripping on the toy left out by a young child.

I was just #knitting 2 rows in my laminaria shawl very slowly. This is the most I did in the past 2 months and my hands are not happy. I should stick to 1 row at most and not every day.
This body sucks.
But you can find this beautiful Estonian #Lace shawl pattern here for free http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring08/PATTlaminaria.html
Thank you 👾 🐱 💙 🐭
I can't even SEE if my toots get shared over there.
You can always say mastodon is not private but it's different when making things from here public on birdsite is automated
Okay so this is really bad because I have no influence at all on people using crossposter tools. When this is going to be the new default I might just go completely private again.
I am here for a reason and I am finally able to feel free to write more stuff again. This is not working, when I have to be afraid that every toot could be boosted to birdsite. Nope nope nope
@maunzikation @minx Oh no I just discovered that your boosts go to birbsite as well. So you actually distribute other peoples toots over there. It doesn't feel so good without asking ...
I know it's public and all that... maybe I only can toot private then.
@maunzikation you could make a bot that sends a tweet every time you post something mastodon that says: "I just wrote something very interesting on Mastodon" 🤖
It's kind of like people on birdsite tweeting facebook links all the time. You can do that but I might not follow you then.
@minx I find just the RTs annoying, all the birdsite links and handles, not crossposts in general.
I have no problem to read bridsite - masto crossposts. Except all the birdsite retweets... They are spamming the TL and you can't turn them off like directly on birdsite.
Would be cool to maybe automatically use the CW feature for RTs but I'm not sure. Maybe completely turn off RTs in the crossposter tools, that would be nice.
@maunzikation I would never use a crossposter ^^ It's just 2 completely different worlds and sets of people and uuuh, nope. I'm not half as comfortable posting things on birdsite ...
oh and tea, please! very queer and autistic. disability. fibre. they-pronouns.
not much tech-related tooting but feelings and everything.
