Hey so, there's been a bit of a kerfuffle with Patreon lately after a terms of service change that threatens all sex workers
There's now an open letter to Patreon to please not do that http://www.openlettertopatreon.com/
The idea of folks losing their livelihood overnight for reasons I cannot see as justified is terrifying, and there's no Patreon alternative either.
Building your programming ability? Open "secret" about tech industry: programmers only productive about 3-4 hours/day & fake the rest. No need to sit 8 hours.
So don't burn yourself out! Maybe lie down & visualize, before coding tiny pieces. Understand a single thing in many ways; creates strong bricks as foundation of your knowledge. With stronger bricks, the faster you will be.
Maybe first write down a few different ways of doing something; list advantages & disadvantages of each. "Analyze tradeoffs."
Code's often a poor representation of thought, a thin brittle artifact that executes.
I think that one reason (not the only one, but one) for people using ableist terms and metaphors here is the "im mentally ill or otherwise neurodivergent myself, so I can't be ableist / my ableism doesn't count" mindset.
Which isn't true. Trans people can perpetuate anti-trans bigotry and harm each other. Women can say sexist things and harm each other. Plus, no one can speak for a whole group.
We all have internalised lots of oppressive bullshit, and purity is impossible, but responsibility is not.
I would really like to retreat to this nice and cozy Mastodon world but the #ableist language on here is just bad. Really bad and I don't see any discussion about this shit.
Would you please just stop hurting people like that thank you.
If an indie dev can just add accessibility based on a random offhand comment, what excuse do big studios have?

Awww yes, I KNEW here on wonderful Mastodon there were probably even people who… open up their e-readers and do stuff with them 😻

If you like #gameing and want Gamergate and its hangers-on to just go away forever, check out my Mastodon instance, https://elekk.xyz/ . Games of all types are welcome, and we've got no problem keeping it safe from assholes and the alt-right.
Oh, also, does anyone know if there is anything besides LineageOS that I should have a look at? I'm really not following these things enough.
I had Resurrection Remix on my old phone, but mainly because CyanogenMod didn't work well on it towards the end.
