They brought up how Luther is a huge black stereotype and the whole issue with the fact that he is defined by a white person's actions. Also something weird is that Kara is very fearful of Luther which is a major problem in terms of writing. Its racist but also how does she have the culturally learned phobia? Her memory only goes back a few days how did she develop this phobia?

I've been spoiled on a thing that's revealed later in the game that I'm still trying to parse of how bad of writing it is. Probably won't be able to mention it tonight but boy howdy just you wait! Its pretty bad! All throughout the game there's reports of Russia and the US fighting in the North Pole and oh boy what they're fighting for is actually relevant to the story! Question is will they actually reveal it in the main game or just in a magazine left somewhere?

These robots have no concrete wants. They all want to be "free" but don't talk about what it means to them. Luther wants to know what "being free" feels like but idk what that even means.

Oh geez there's a hivemind robot at the abandoned amusement park. A horde of robots, named Jerry, just busted in like a bunch of zombies. Like so much tension was built up and they were all "oh don't worry we're cool." Well guess there was nothing to worry about after all game! Jerry seems happy at least to entertain Alice.

OK so it feels like the foil between Hank and Connor should be that Hank is insecure about his decisions and play off Connor's growing free will. Hank confronts Connor about letting the android girlfriends go, which he feels conflicted about, but nothing comes of it. Also he felt unsettled by his inability to catch another android. "I was not programmed to fail." God this is so frustrating, the game is steering hard away from any interest.

God they show a human berating an android for dropping something cuz that's what oppression is am I right? Gotta present that sanitized version of what oppression looks like cuz ya know don't wanna be a downer but still wanna say BIG things.

All these androids just mope along wondering what to do until luckily robot jesus came along to tell them "hey, how about we do something?" and they're all "oh yeah! Doing stuff!" Like god dammit Cage read a fucking history book!

Markus getting all bent outta shape that one of his friends knocked someone out with a head blow when not two episodes ago he stabbed a guy in cold blood.

The public opinion meter was negative for this playthrough which I bet you can get positive by making sure there were no casualties and made the most reasonable demands. Which like as we seen in recent history no matter how peaceful an oppressed group reacts they will always be viewed as unreasonable.

The investigation scene rn packs no punch cuz you the player had minutes ago played the crime yourself. Its Indigo Prophecy all over.

I just burst out laughing. Connor is trying to find out if one of the androids is "deviant" (fuck I hate saying that) and one of them just started doing nervous eye darting. Damn just had to spell it out for the player. God I hope I didn't wake my brother.

Connor got owned, accidentally revealed how to easily disable any robot to another and instantly got owned. Also robots can die from gunshots? They don't got metal skulls? Like why would the robobrain be in the head anyway? Its been implied you can only access memories from active bots. Why? How do these things work?

What? Apparently this is based on a short story called Kara? Was that story as boring and exploitative as Kara's is in the game?

Kara has met up with a black woman named Rose to get some help. She asks why Rose would help them. Rose's response is "my people were often made to feel worthless." Just to hammer home the "allegory" with the civil rights movement.

Rose offers to keep everyone in her home since things are tense since Markus' stunt. But nope, Kara is all "gotta go!" Is this how Cage sees the world? You have an idea of what to do and just do it? No outside forces or just plain barriers to your needs? Just do the thing and you'll get what you want! Says Cage.

They're trying to portray Markus as conflicted over his decisions but really he comes off as flip flopping.

You can choose to kill or spare some cops orrrrrr don't decide and give the choice to the others. Not gunna take responsibility after leading everyone to violence like that somehow absolves Markus.

Decided to check out a video that shows all the choices with Kamski and ofc there really is no difference with the choices. The major ones diverge but the rest are just different line reads. Even then the differences are minimal.
