one of my German colleagues at my games job when I excitedly waffled at him about Okami brought up a fancy technology-showoff screenshot from ArmA and went "now THIS is REAL art" and I wanted to scream
@theoutrider @SilviaFox@sleeping.town @MOKKA I'm always wary about people who are like "Videogames are ART" unironically because they inevitably turn out to be jackasses at best or goobergapers at worst.
They get all gatekeepy about what constitutes a "real game" when really their critera are just "I LIKE IT SO IT'S THE ONLY TRUE GAME" and inevitably it's mass produced dross that caters to their bigotry and narrow minded shitstain of a worldview.
