@Rosemary yepyep! We don't have the brand Band-Aid here in the UK, so the generic name for them is "Fabric plasters" or "plasters" in general, especially for non woven fabric based ones. Not entirely sure why they're called "plasters" honestly given there's no plaster in them.
@Rosemary I guess so, wikipedia has failed me in this case but I guess the etymology of the term isn't super important to them. ;w;

@Rosemary Ooo, it wasn't specific about it but it looks like it sort of comes from the verb usage, such as "to plaster"? because you stick it on something? and also the original latin root means "bandage" in the medical sense. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/emplastrum#Latin

@Nine I assume it goes back to the use of plaster casts, but I can't see much of a relationship beyond that they're both used for injuries.
