So, I just had a call from my Doctor's surgery. They'd been in contact with the GIC. After I'd heard nothing back from my referral in April.

Apparently it's a 16 - 24 month waiting list for an appointment and I shouldn't expect to hear from them until 6 months into the process. When I pointed out that April was more than 6 months ago I got handed a phone number to call the GIC myself.
